About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forensic Social Worker to join a MH Hospital. This on-site position involves working across two wards, providing comprehensive social work services to our patients. You will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs), contributing your expertise to support patient care and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough social work assessments and interventions for patients in the forensic setting.
  • Participate actively in MDT meetings, collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide individual and group support to patients, addressing their social, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient interactions, assessments, and progress.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and ensure their access to appropriate services and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Current registration with Social Work England
  • Ideally AMPT (Assessment and Management of Psychopathy and Treatment) trained.
  • Proven experience in forensic social work or a related field.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
