About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forensic Social Worker to join a MH Hospital. This on-site position involves working across two wards, providing comprehensive social work services to our patients. You will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs), contributing your expertise to support patient care and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough social work assessments and interventions for patients in the forensic setting.
- Participate actively in MDT meetings, collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide individual and group support to patients, addressing their social, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient interactions, assessments, and progress.
- Advocate for patients' rights and ensure their access to appropriate services and resources.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent.
- Current registration with Social Work England
- Ideally AMPT (Assessment and Management of Psychopathy and Treatment) trained.
- Proven experience in forensic social work or a related field.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
