About Us: We are a leading mental health organization dedicated to providing high-quality services to children and adolescents in Worcestershire. To strengthen our team, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Senior Mental Health CAMHS Practitioner (RMN/SW/OT) to join us on a temporary basis.

Job Description: As a Locum Senior Mental Health CAMHS Practitioner (Band 6), you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialist mental health support to children and adolescents across Worcestershire. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, and deliver interventions to promote the well-being and resilience of young people experiencing mental health difficulties. This role offers a hybrid working model, combining office-based and remote work to provide flexibility and support work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and adolescents referred to CAMHS, including risk assessments and formulation of care plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy, to address a range of mental health issues.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and external agencies to support young people's holistic well-being and promote positive outcomes.
  • Offer consultation and support to colleagues within CAMHS and across partner agencies to enhance understanding and management of mental health issues in young people.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with professional and organizational standards.

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Social Worker (SW), or Occupational Therapist (OT) with a valid professional registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with young people and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and autonomously when required.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care and promoting the well-being of children and adolescents.
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a hybrid working model.
