Job Advertisement: Band 5 Crisis Line RMN

Location: Nuneaton Area
Salary: £20 per hour
Hours: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives? Do you thrive in high-pressure situations and possess excellent communication skills? We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Band 5 Crisis Line Support Workers.

Role Overview: As a Crisis Line RMN, you will be responsible for providing crucial support to individuals in crisis over the phone. Your primary duties will include taking calls, offering signposting services, and making referrals to appropriate resources. This role is vital in ensuring individuals receive the support they need during challenging times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to incoming calls on the crisis line promptly and professionally.
  • Providing empathetic and non-judgmental support to callers experiencing crisis situations.
  • Offering appropriate signposting services to direct callers to relevant resources and support networks.
  • Making referrals to external agencies or services when necessary.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for callers.
  • Documenting calls and maintaining accurate records of interactions.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Flexibility to work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work shifts within the hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, including weekends and evenings.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges, CAMHS, or learning disabilities preferred.
  • Social Work background or relevant experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Candidates with no NHS experience will be considered and assessed during the interview process.
