Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) – Pain Management Coordinator – Ongoing

We are presently seeking a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) with community expertise, eager for a new professional challenge. Below outline key details of the position:

  • Job Role: MHP - Mental Health Practitioner
  • Band: 6
  • Location: Dunstable
  • Duration: Ongoing, with a 3-month minimum commitment
  • Schedule: 22.5 - 37.5 (3-5days)
  • Start date: Immediate
  • Pay rate: £40 - £55 per hour (Experience-dependent)

A day in the life of an MHP: As a mental health practitioner specializing in the community, your role is critical in providing care for patients with substance misuse health problems. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting visits to patients on a ward to ensure their needs are met.
  • Administering prescribed medications at scheduled times to address patients' needs.
  • Engaging with patients to comprehend their conditions, facilitating efficient assistance, and monitoring progress or setbacks.
  • Conducting risk assessments when necessary to maintain patient safety during treatment.

Requirements and qualifications for this role:

  • Proven community experience.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
