Position: Locum Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)
Service: CAMHS Early Intervention Service
Location: Birmingham
Rate: £25 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Temporary / Locum


About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join our CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) Early Intervention team in Birmingham. This is a locum position offering a competitive rate of £25 per hour for 37.5 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive mental health assessments and interventions for children and adolescents.
  • Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy.
  • Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to support the young person's recovery journey.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with NHS policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration.
  • Previous experience working within CAMHS or with children and young people in a mental health setting.
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the service.
