Community Psychiatric Nurse – West Midlands – Ongoing Opportunity

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with community experience looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you in the West Midlands!

Position Details:

  • Job Role: Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Early Intervention
  • Band: 6
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, daytime shifts
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

Role Overview:

As a Community Psychiatric Nurse specialising in early intervention, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients within their own homes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting home visits to ensure patients' needs are met and they are progressing well.
  • Administering medication and managing treatment schedules.
  • Engaging with patients to understand their conditions and provide tailored support, monitoring their progress, and addressing any setbacks.
  • Performing risk assessments to ensure the safety of patients and those around them, maintaining a secure environment during treatment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • NMC Registration: Must be actively registered as a mental health nurse.
  • Community Experience: Proven experience in a community setting is essential.
  • Caseload Management: Experience in holding and managing a caseload is required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team when necessary.
  • Commitment: A dedicated approach to providing the highest quality of care for patients.
