Position: Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Ongoing

We are presently seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with community experience who is eager to embrace a new professional challenge.

• Location: Oldham
• Duration: Ongoing for 3 months
• Schedule: 3-5 days a week, 9 am – 5 pm
• Start date: ASAP
• Rate of pay: £25p/h - £26p/h

A day in the life of an RMN in the community involves playing a pivotal role in delivering patient care, encompassing:

• Conducting visits to patients on a ward to assess and ensure their needs are met.
• Administering medication at scheduled times to address patient requirements.
• Engaging in meaningful conversations with patients, comprehending their conditions, and providing efficient assistance while monitoring potential progress or setbacks.
• Conducting risk assessments when necessary to maintain patient safety and foster a secure treatment environment.

Requirements and qualifications for this role include:

• Active registration through the NMC as a mental health nurse.
• Demonstrated community experience.
• Proficient communication skills and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to delivering the highest quality of care to patients.

Working hours and contract duration:

This role entails a commitment of 3-5 days per week, working from 9 am to 5 pm. The initial contract is for a minimum of 3 months, with the potential for ongoing engagement.
