Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Learning Disabilities CAMHS Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Worcestershire on a locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a hybrid role that offers the flexibility of partially remote working.

As a CAMHS Practitioner, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality mental health services to young people with learning disabilities and their families. Your role will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans to ensure the best outcomes for our service users.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and adolescents with learning disabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of the young person.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Offer crisis intervention and management when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to service development.

Requirements:

  • Registered Professional: RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse), Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in CAMHS and/or with learning disabilities is desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, assessment, and therapeutic skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work both remotely and on-site as required.
  • Commitment: A genuine passion for improving the mental health and well-being of young people with learning disabilities.
