Hunter Mental Health have an exciting opportunity for a fantastic CAMHS Practitioner for CAMHS triage team!

The role will be providing assessments and referrals for young patients or their families/carers phoning into the mental health service based in the Surrey area. This service offers help, support, care and advice for users who call into the service needing help. Experience in community mental health is required as the service would require someone to hit the ground running and be a real asset to the service. They also need someone with the following:

  • Experience of working in triage teams is ideal but not necessary.
  • Must have CAMHS experience
  • Ability to provide excellent assessment, treatment and care reviews to patients and their families/carers
  • Be able to complete risk assessments and able to identify which service the user would benefit from.
  • Ability to take responsibility for supporting team members in their decision making
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and have good written skills and be timely in their writing up of appts and sending out letters.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good Communicator
  • Good computer skills

The working hours are 09.00am till 5.00pm however part-time will be considered. Within the service there is a support team of other Community Psychiatric Nurses, OT's and Psychiatrists, along with the supervision of the Team Lead.
